One night I decided to explore the town of Alviso, California. It's a small town in Silicon Valley which feels as though it's been left behind. It's bordered by a freeway interconnect (237), business parks, a power plant, and the southern extremeties of the Bay. This old barn was right off the road and caught my eye.

This old boat resides in a died-up wetland area. You can find other people's images of it elsewhere, I'm sure. On the day I took this shot, I was on a solitary drive up through wine country. It wasn't until after someone pointed it out to me, that the clouds look like smoke coming out of the boat's smokestack.

These first three images I took on a walk through Palo Alto, California. In the first image, I liked how the lettering on the building acted like a foundation for the bulding above. The rest of the building was very uniform and made an interesting pattern at this sharp angle.
